MetroRing’s new high-speed, multi fibre optic network will launch this month, setting a new standard for interconnects and Tier 1 connectivity.
As a new network that connects 40 Datacentres across the UK, US and Holland, MetroRing will offer unrivalled network capabilities for Carriers and ISPs - with up to 30Gbps between sites.
By providing diverse speeds from 10 to 10000Mbps on dark fibre wavelengths, plus the unique approach of a multi layer network for increased redundancy and speed, MetroRing offer an unparalleled choice of connectivity options for customers.
Simple tariffs provide a new level of cost effective options for customers, usually only available at much higher committed rates. This is achieved by undertaking negotiation on behalf of customers, making them the first commercial network to provide this level of capacity in the UK at such competitive rates.
MetroRing offers a clear and simple solution for direct Tier-1 and multihomed connectivity, with Layer2 IP Transit priced as low at competitive rates for high bandwidth users.
With interconnects now available between more than 40 Datacentres around London, the UK and Europe provides a simple cost effective solution for joining networks, connecting to providers in other datacentres, off-site backups and disaster recovery has arrived.
MetroRing’s network has been designed as multiple rings for reliability from fibre breaks and diversity from each of the rings. Every building, including the Telehouse and Redbus sites, has separate fibre routes and multiple fibre connections. This prevents a break from affecting the network by using the diverse routes as failover.
